The Editing Internship Program

The mission of HHHS is to preserve and highlight the historical assets and events that have made Havana an exceptional community in which to live, have a business, & visit. The HHHS, a non-profit corporation, operates the Shade Tobacco Museum in Havana, FL. HHHS has partnered with the Florida State University Honors Program in order to provide meaningful internships to interested honors students. This internship is open to students at FSU who wish to develop analysis, communication, and technical skills and build professional networks while providing service to a large group of community organizations.
Internship supervisors are currently seeking three to five interns who:
Can potentially begin working this semester (fall 2021) and continue into spring
Can work eight to ten hours per week through a combination of remote and on-site work as arranged with the project directors.
Are interested in the following roles:
Writing, media production, and editing of the Society webpage, social media, and the mobile application, through which students can enhance their communication abilities.
Archival processing and cataloging, through which interns will increase their primary source literacy and research skills.
